Sleepless in Seattle

Weekend Getaway

I know everyone says it rains all year in Seattle - but the Seattle I experienced over the Labor Day weekend was BEAUTIFUL. It was sunny and in the high 60s, which to me, is the perfect weather! 🌞

So this trip was completely spontaneous - it was only decided on Friday afternoon that Seattle was happening. 3 days in Seattle - how much could we possibly squeeze in? A LOT.

First thing on the agenda was of course - none other than the infamous Pike Place Market. But first things first, cawfee ☕️ Teehee.

There's a cute little coffee shop on Second Avenue, by the Kimpton hotel (where I stayed) called Moore Coffee Shop. Searching for cute lattes with coffee art? I don't know about you guys but I'm always on a constant hunt for cute coffee. Check this place out!

They have an amazing Horchata latte and the best latte designs I've ever seen :)

What's fun to is they always make you a surprise design.

Next stop, Pike's Place!

Okay, so I have a pretty cool Farmer's Market in Little Italy (SD) every Saturday but it pales in comparison. Pike's Public Market is open all week!!! And they've got a pretty impressive selection ranging from local produce to artisan jewelry to baked goods to flowers and fish - it's really quite the scene. The whole street is blocked off for these vendors and us pedestrians and tourists ✌️

Pictured above is an ingenious invention called the "Quaffle."

Yup. That's its name! It's a croissant waffle - I mean, need I say more?!

Pretty Snaps around Seattle
Day 1 - Sightseeing

 Seattle Great Wheel

 Gum Wall

Music Fest

Day 2 - Bumbershoot

So sentimental, not sentimental no
Romantic not discussing it

These days it comes, it comes, it comes, it comes, it comes and goes

Lisztomaniaaaa 🎤

Apparently this past Labor Day weekend's festival was Bumbershoot's 48th year! It was pretty epic. And yes, the tower you're seeing in the background is the infamous Space Needle. I got to see Cold War Kids, Portugal the Man and Phoenix 🎵 Not to mention, the night before (Saturday) went to see Foo Fighters 🎸 at Safeco Field where the Mariners play! ⚾️  They were LEGENDARY - my favorite song they sang (trust me, there were a LOT of good ones) was "Times Like These."

A Little Nature does the Soul a WHOLE Lotta Good

Day 3 - Snoqualmie Falls

To top it all of, day three was spent immersed in nature. Took a drive up to Snoqualmie Falls (about a 40 minute drive) from Downtown. I don't know if you guys have heard of Turo - but if you haven't, check them out! They're essentially the Airbnb for cars. And you can rent luxury cars at great rates. Needless to say, I drove a Porsche convertable 😍 it made for a fast and breeeezy drive 🚗💨

Behold, Snoqualmie Falls!

So that pretty much sums up my 72 hours in Seattle, folks!

I must say, this last-minute spontaneous trip turned out to be one of the best planned. Funny how that works, huh?! 🙊

Stay tuned for more upcoming adventures!
